A multidisciplinary festival aiming to develop and strengthen international cooperation by gathering one world in one place.

Our goal is to build an intercultural networking environment for students, to encourage exchange of their ideas and good practice, and to promote international understanding amongst students. In this way through its topic “Borders and Places, Bounds and People” we wish to build alliances and demolish bounds amongst youth.

We aim to fight discrimination, racism and social exclusion. ISCiK will welcome young people regardless of nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, sexual orientation, region background and other forms of social differentiation. There will be no age limits to participate in the convention. Eligible to apply are undergraduate, MA and doctoral students from any Balkan, European or other country.




The activity is half lecture and half solidarity activities.

Applicants choose one of five parallel workshops: Corporate Social Responsibility (CRS),Human rights controversies: Gender, minorities and religion, Local and central: the Politics of Traditions in the Nation-State before and after communism, Visual and Audio (Photography, Miniature Painting, Music-Love&Evolution), Media challenge and citizens.




We invite applications for participation in an intensive 1-week summer school with activities and workshops in an atmosphere of warmth, trust, and acceptance, and leaded by the topic “Borders and Places, Bounds and People” we expect that participants understand, accept, and value diverse backgrounds which can help young people and adults thrive in this ever-changing society.







Format




There will be a total of 5 regular workshops, 5 parallel workshops each day. The language in all workshops and lectures will be English, therefore active and passive command of English is expected. ISCiK will be combined with domestic cultural activities and a trip at the city of Pogradec.




All workshops will be oriented towards theoretical and practical applications and spend roughly half of their time on open discussions. Participants will be strongly encouraged to work on their own data and research problems to get the most out of the summer school experience.

Faculty members are renowned specialists and experienced teachers in their fields. They will be willing for help and advice during and out the workshops.

On the last day, Participants will have the opportunity to interact in a Round Table session, where they will present their ideas to the rest of the participants. Participants will be expected to prepare their presentations ISCiK starts.

Internship: Traineeships at the Council of the European Union in Brussels / Belgium 31 August 2012

Each year the General Secretariat of the Council offers some 80 paid traineeships lasting 5 months.

Traineeships are offered to EU nationals who, by the deadline for the lodging of applications, have completed at least the first cycle of a course of university studies evidenced by a degree certificate or equivalent.

There are two five-month traineeship periods, as follows:

• 1 February to 30 June
• 1 September to 31 January

 Selection procedure

The Secretariat receives about 2500 applications each year; unfortunately, there are only about 80 places available.

Applications registered will be examined between September and January.

If you are selected, you will be asked to supply the following supporting documents:

• 
  
• a legible copy of your passport or identity card;
• a copy of your diplomas or official certificates;
• where necessary, copies of attestations of your professional experience; proof or a substantiated declaration of your knowledge of the languages stated on the application form.

Any other optional document in support of your application for a traineeship – such as references, for example – can be included in your file.

These supporting documents do not need to be sent at this stage. You will be asked for them if we offer you a traineeship. You will not be admitted unless you supply the complete file.

Successful applicants will receive an offer by e-mail stating the period of their traineeship and the department to which they will be assigned. When they have accepted the offer, the Traineeships Office will send them a contract.

Not selected candidates will be informed by e-mail or via their Epso profile at the end of January.

We would draw your attention to the conditions of admission contained in Decision 118/07. Application forms which do not meet the criteria will be rejected.

We suggest you have your file fully prepared before filling in this application form.

Validate your application before the deadline. Before you validate it be sure to check all the information you have entered. After validation you will not be able to change or delete it. Only the data in the EPSO profile can be changed during the year.

At the next stage you will be redirected to the website of EPSO (European Personnel Selection Office). There you will create your own profile and fill in the application form for a traineeship. All this information will be stored in the EPSO database. The information will be accessible by the Traineeships Office of the Council General Secretariat and by any Council departments wishing to take on a trainee.

Master: MBA in International Business - Full Time Edition XXIII edition (September 2012 – September 2013) Scholarship Competition

MIB School of Management of Trieste, Italy is pleased to announce a scholarship competition for applicants to the XXIII Edition of the MBA in International Business.
The Scholarships will go toward tuition fees to attend the XXIII edition of the MBA in International Business programme (September 2012 - September 2013).
The Scholarships will cover up to 50% of the tuition fees. The full tuition fees are equivalent to 25.000,00 EUR (21% VAT included). The amount of the scholarships will be discounted from the overall tuition fees. In case of course abandonment or exclusion for any reason, no amount of the scholarship will be paid or reimbursed.
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Academic degree (or equivalent qualification) in any discipline.

Scholarship: Henkel CEE Artists Scholarship within the framework of the Artists-in-Residence Program of KulturKontakt Austria

The Artists-in-Residence Program of KulturKontakt Austria offers a three-month scholarship in Vienna for artists from Central, Eastern and South East Europe, including a studio, accommodations, insurance, a monthly scholarship of 1,000 euros and a presentation of the artist’s works at the end of his or her stay in the Austrian capital.

Artists up to the age of 35 from the following countries are eligible to submit entries: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and the Ukraine. The Artists-in-Residence Program of KulturKontakt Austria invites visual artists working in the fields of painting, drawing, photography, video and installation to take part in the prize competition.
An international jury will select the winner of the Henkel CEE Artists Scholarship 2012 from the entries submitted for this Artists-in-Residence Program of KulturKontakt Austria. In addition to the three month scholarship from KulturKontakt Austria, the winner will also receive a monetary prize of 2,000 euros from Henkel CEE. The award winner will be notified in writing. The jury session will be held in Vienna at the beginning of September 2012. Afterwards the results will be announced on the Website of KulturKontakt Austria (http://www.kulturkontakt.or.at).

The Institut européen·European Institute (IE·EI), an international teaching and research institute in Nice, invites graduate students to apply for its Master programme 2012/13. The “Master in Advanced European and International Studies” (MAEIS) offers an overarching, encompassing vision of the political, social, economic, and cultural problems of today´s modern world. The courses are taught by renowned academics from various European countries, as well as experts from research institutions and practitioners from international organisations. They offer a multi-faceted view on Europe in a globalized world. One regional emphasis is given to the Western Balkans.

One programme – two branches
The Master programme comprises three terms and is subdivided into two branches:
- The trilingual branch (teaching languages are English, French, and German) includes trimesters in Nice and Berlin, as well as a one week stay at our partner university in Rostock and a two week seminar at our partner university in Rome.
- The Anglophone branch includes trimesters in Istanbul, Nice and Berlin.
Subject Areas: European Integration, Conflicts and Violence in Internationale Relations, Economy and Globalisation, Federalism and Governance.

Both branches organise a study trip to the European and international organisations in Strasbourg, Brussels, Geneva and The Hague. The courses take place from October 2012 to July 2013. A limited number of scholarship funds are awarded to particularly qualified candidates to cover parts of the costs of their studies and/or their accommodation. The IE·EI diplomas (60 ECTS) are delivered in cooperation with its partners, among them Istanbul Bilgi University, the University of Rostock, the EuroSapienza in Rome and the Institut für Europäische Politik in Berlin.

The IE·EI is a department of the Centre International de Formation Européenne (CIFE, President Jean-Claude Juncker) - one out of six institutes of higher education in Europe which receive a special subvention by the European Commission. The programmes of the IE·EI have existed for more than 40 years. For a long time, they were organised by the Institut Européen des Hautes Etudes Internationales (IEHEI).
